We are interested in engaging local labor and so we are hoping local general contractors will visit Community Development Department, 225 Essex Street 3rd floor, Lawrence, MA. Bid Documents can be picked up between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The City of Lawrence, acting through its Community Development Department, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from general contractors for construction of three community gardens in accordance with the documents prepared by Groundwork Lawrence, Inc., and the Bioengineering Group, Inc. The work includes converting vacant city owned land into community gardens. Site improvements include the following items: Clearing and grubbing; Excavation, Filling and Grading; Landscape planting; Site wall construction; Raised bed construction; and Irrigation installation. Sealed Bids, clearly marked Lawrence Neighborhood Community Gardens, Sealed Bid will be received until 2:00 p.m. March 9, 2011 at the Community Development Department, 225 Essex Street 3rd floor, Lawrence, MA 01840
