Cooking Classes
GWL’s Healthy Food Access Programs combine access with education in an effort to improve the overall nutrition and public health of the City of Lawrence and its residents.
In addition to offering spaces to grow and places to purchase fresh, locally grown produce, Groundwork Lawrence is committed to delivering education programs that include cooking classes and a cooking club focused on integrating healthy foods into culturally appropriate meals. These education programs empower and inform community members about simple ways they can incorporate incremental changes to their cooking and eating habits for more successful sustainable outcomes.
Cooking courses will be offered by Groundwork Lawrence on May 7, 14, and 21 and June 4 and 11, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 50 Island St., Entrance B Suite 101 Entrance B, Lawrence, MA 01840.
There are only 15 places available. To qualify, you need to register and be available to attend all 5 classes. Before all the available slots are taken, register!

GWL Cooking Class
Learn how to cook healthy, delicious food on a budget.
This is a 5 week series in which participants will learn how to prepare quick, easy, delicious, healthy meals. This workshop series includes an opportunity to speak with a chef and nutritionist, share recipes, go home with free groceries and a shopping tour for tips on how to shop on a budget.
Fresco Cooking Club
Enjoy a fantastic opportunity to come together and enhance your knowledge of cooking and nutrition education. Fresco cooking club is a place where you can come share, learn, create and have fun! Share your favorite recipes, learn tips on how to prepare healthy and delicious meals and create delicious meals. This cooking club meets monthly.
