As we prepare to close down the farmers markets for the season, we are still celebrating the importance of fresh, healthy local foods! National Food Day is October 24th and this year GWL is hosting a celebration at our weekly farmers markets. Wednesday, October 23rd at the Campagnone Common and Saturday, October 26th at Broadway & Park Streets from 11am-2pm there will be cooking demonstrations, face painting, music and more! The farmers market will also be open for its regular hours (Wed.: 10am-5:30pm; Sat.: 9am-3pm) at each location. Come celebrate Food Day with Groundwork Lawrence!
